In 2007, a low budget film producer, Bill Dever based in the most cinematically unlikeliest place Indiana decided that its was time that genre cinema or B Movies started to receive their due praise. The B Movie Celebration is now in its 11th year of operation and over during the past 11 years shone a light on the films and the filmmakers for such films as Toxic Avenger, Fright Night, Chopping Mall, Cry of The Winged Serpent, Brain Dead, Armed Response and many more. Over 365 films have been screened for the public often being presented by the people who made them.
Justin Beahm is a writer, producer and director whose feature work appears in Fangoria, Delirium, Scream, Famous Monsters of Filmland, and Horrorhound magazines, as well as at ShockTillYouDrop.com. He has produced and directed for Anchor Bay Entertainment, Shout! Factory, Scream Factory, Trancas International, Prescribed Films, and Reverend Entertainment. He helmed the 2012 theatrical re-release of John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN. Justin appears on a number of video commentary tracks, and occasionally appears in front of the camera as well. His newest project is as host of the Justin Beahm Radio Hour podcast.
Bill brings a corporate and artistic aspect to the B Movie Celebration. He served as President of Spark Interactive Corporation, the first company in North America to deliver fully interactive video on dark fiber. His partners in these ventures included AT&T, Sun Microsystems, General Electric, and Pace. He also served as President of Stimulus Net Inc., Executive Vice President of Wilderness Films Inc, a service company for retail DVD services. His work in DVD helped establish the retail sell-through DVD market working with companies such as ESX, United American Video, Madacy, and Front Row Entertainment. He also currently works as a consultant to 35 large venture capital firms on the subject of interactive TV strategies,
Bill has produced and co-written the film “Personal Exemptions” starring Nanette Fabray and as well “Monster Cruise” and “Resurrection”. He produced and directed the films “China Frost” and “Mountain Fury”. He has served as a Producer for the SYFY Channel Original Movies, “Fire From Below” and “Camel Spiders. Recently he produced “GILA!”, which has been distributed by the Dever owned firm Polyscope. Previous to that Bill served as a production manager on a series of low budget feature films.
Award Winning writer director and producer starting acting in 2005 playing bit parts while working full time as a Commercial Construction Project Manager.While acting filled his creative void it still never could scratch the itch he had to do more.He taught himself how to shoot,edit and write and shot his first short film Vergels Dream in 2008 with a crew of 3.It played in films festivals around the country he followed that up with a Twilight Zone type short called The Lucky Break it Premiered at The Kentucky Center for the Arts and to a great reception he then Produced the feature film Hatfields and McCoys Bad Blood with director Fred Olen Ray starring Christian Slater and Jeff Fahey.He was a featured actor in the film Cross starring Micheal Clarke Duncan and Vinnie Jones.His latest short film Viridescent a truely colabrative effort premiered in 2017 at The Beverly Hills Film Festival an Academy Award qualified festival and screened at the famed Graumans Chinese Theatre and has had a successful run on the festival market playing all around the world including Italy,Spain and Greece gaining multiple awards for Best Short Film Best director and Best Screenplay.
